For a BB that is on a BES, do you have to use a PC that is attached to the corresponding network for the update for the BB to keep its settings on the BES after the upgrade? or does it matter?

No, you can do the upgrade from any PC. However, being no BES you may or may not need an activation password from your BES Admin. Some are automatically activated, some must get a PW.

Depening on how strict your company is you might not be able to upgrade the OS at all, there is a plicy that keeps users from installing "beta"/non-approved OS's.

I have to problem, I buy to bb 8320 unblocked by Ebay. I live in Venezuela, but I cannot install the servcios BB because the telephonic company says to me that my PIN - IMEM is registred by another person now

Somebody help me? Please, I am distressed

You must have the PIN for that device removed from the previous user's account.

In other words, the seller had the BB registered for service and never removed it before selling it.
