My google maps had been working great. I was using one day while traveling & battery went dead during use. Ever since the Google maps stopped working. Then I went to update maps through Google Mobile Updater & all of sudden I don't have it anymore?? Whenever I turn on Google Mobile Updater it shows installed apps & updates available. Everytime I try any of them, I get "download failed try again later"????

Also, I check my GPS settings on the phone & it will not show my location. I try refresh & nothing found????

Any ideas.....

Do i need a reset of phone. If so how do I do it. I don't have a sync cable & assume I will need to get one.

So... you would "bump" your previous post, rather than post a whole new thread.

We condone that, once a day only please. Someone will pick up on it.

Try this:
--Pull the battery on the BB while it is powered on. Try the process again after reboot.
--Do a GPS refresh at Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh GPS.

The GPS on my 8110 wouldn't get my location or any satellite for that matter until I set "Location aiding" to Disabled.

Oh, and that is in a very wide, clear-sky location, like the beach. It hardly ever works in the city, where I'm surrounded by buildings, although buildings are only 10 or 15 stories high where I live. Must be the crappiest GPS unit ever.

About Google Maps, give up. Just remove all those Google apps you have there and install them anew and individually. I've read many reports of people struggling hard with that Google Updater thing.
