We were sold two Blackberry phones by a company who assured us they would work with our domain server.

We experienced synching problems straight away, which they were unable to fix. When we spoke to Blackberry we were told that the software to run it should never have been put on a domain server.

The phones were sold to us without this being made clear. It was only when we experienced synching issues that it came to light.

The company say they will reload the software for £600.

Blackberry say the software should not be loaded on a domain server.

The company say that’s no problem – we’ve done it before - £600

O2 charging us for a service that we are unable to use.

I have now spoken to 02, who say that we would need a CAL licence for this to work.

Which version of BES/Email System, you might want to give a should over to the BES Admin forum.

Full blown BES Should probably be on it's own box depending on how many users you have, and yes you will need 1 CAL for every user on the BES.
