I have a BB storm with telus now.. im starting to hate it hehe..

I'm thinking going back to a "normal" BB... but i'm hesitating between a 8830 and a 8330... any suggestion? (except that 8830 is world..)

8330 has camera, 8830 does not. 8330 is smaller, and lighter.

If you can live without those two, i would suggest just giving in to what you really want. Both phone's are great at what they do. Although i prefer the curve because the key's are just suited better for my hands. Otherwise, both the phones, minus those you said you really don't think about or know, are pretty much similar.

The Curve also has more memory.

SD Card size depends upon the OS installed on the device.

From the FAQ:

The BlackBerry devices that have media card capabilities are from the 81xx, 83xx, 88xx and 9000 series.

All of these series use a MicroSD card and have the following maximum capacities:

BlackBerry Device Software Media Card Size Limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 -- Up to 2 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 -- Up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 -- Up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 -- Up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 -- Up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and above -- Up to 16 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 -- Up to 32 GB

I say give the storm another try...the .99 software is pretty good and they are coming out with new apps all the time.

As with any model comparison, compare the features, try them out in person & pick what you want. It's mostly subjective. Unless you actually tell us all your needs/wants/preferences we can't make a meaningful recommendation.

Most people strongly prefer one keyboard over the other. Don't decide solely on spec sheets and photos (I'd say this applies to any purchase decision).
