BB7100v Can not control backlight?

I turn off the blacklight (by press the button on top), after 10 second, it auto turn on? I had re-up rom, but it cannot help >"<!

As far as I can see you cannot turn the backlight off completely, the minimum period it will stay on is 2 seconds, this is set in options>screen/keyboard>Backlight timeout. The automatic backlight option, if switched to off, means the backlight stays on permanently (I think). It's a pity you cannot read the link as that is a copy of your model's user manual, and it tells you just about everything you need to know.
