all,

Sometimes when I sync my 8800 to Outlook, during the sync I get the error "connection specific error."

The sync then ends without completing the sync. I have tried using different cables and USB ports. There seems to be no consistancy to this. It does fail at the same item (contact or calendar entry) every time.

Any ideas?

What version of DM do you use?

What version of Outlook?

Are you connected to a hub or directly to the PC? I have read and heard that it is best to connect to a USB in the back of the PC. Don't know exactly why, but it appears to work better.

Just set up my BB synching yesterday and I have the same problem this morning - it stops at the Task sync. Didn't do it yesterday and I'm using the same USB port. Any ideas?

Please answer the questions in my response to the OP. That will help try to figure it out.

I am using Outlook as part of Microsoft Office Professional 2003 sp 3
The DM version is 4.3.0.17
I connect the BB directly to the USB port of my lenovo t61P laptop.
