Email settings missing on Blackberry Desktop Manager

Hello ,

I have a strange problem with a client using Blackberry Desktop manager , he has upgraded his PC and reinstalled the Desktop Manager 4.5 , He was then unable to see all the icons with the email settings Icon missing , We tried upgrading to 4.7 but the problem persist's. He reckons his wife had a similar problem and "someone" at RIM helped her but now they seem to not be able to help , he is using a 8310 curve handset. All in all he has only 6 icons on his Blackberry Desktop Manager instead of 7. PLease help if possible

is the PC he's using running vista? there have been problems with desktop manager and vista. if so, he might try using an XP machine until the vista problems get worked out

He is running XP Home on the machine.

i'm not by my home PC to try mine out, but here's a screen shot i found for desktop manager 4.7. is this what you're running? it looks like there's only 6 options on 4.7, with an e-mail settings option right there. have him uninstall whatever he's got, and install 4.7 from here:
