I have a strange problem... I go in to Settings and go to Location Based Services. I try to Refresh the GPS And I get Error that GPS is not available. My last blackberry same model same software was able to get the GPS this way. I am running the most current Ver software.
Any Ideas?

I had the same issue last week, I was told to go outside into a wide open sky area and refresh there.....when I did. I caught 5 satellites

I have had this issue with two different BB's. I take care of technical issues in our office and have been unable to find much on this. The one tid bit I did find was on a forum discussing using TeleNav with the BB. The tip was to update your time under options, copy it and save it. I tried and it did appear to work, although it took quite a while to get the satellite signal.
It seems these devices loose their GPS signal quite a bit. Not a good feature. It seems to me that there must be some kind of bug in this firmware revision because I was using the GPS functionality just fine until about a month ago when I updated to the 'latest and greatest' revision.
If anyone has thoughts on this I am all ears.

Just make sure you have the latest updates of Tel Nav and BB firmware. Tele Nav has updated its software. The images are new and so are some tweaks.

This is before I even have tel nav installed... This is a basic function of the 7520.

I have the latest and greatest TeleNav and BlackBerry software installed and this is still an issue. In a recent call to TeleNav I found out that they have seen this before and have an open ticket with BlackBerry support so it seems to be a know issue but not one that is being talked about alot.

I had a problem where TeleNav and Spot couldn't get the GPS info, but if I went into Options > Location Based Services and chose "Refresh GPS", it would update my location...
SO... I called Nextel, ended up talking to BB "Level 2" support - the (VERY helpful/friendly) girl told me to... *drumroll* go into Options > Date/Time and "Update Time" - even though I already had it set to use the Network time as the Date/Time source...
Magically - when I then went back to TeleNav and Spot, they worked fine!
*shrug*
Good luck!
