My 8700G isn't working properly. The trackwheel is bouncing all over the place making it impossible to check email or anything else. I have insurance thru T-Mobile, but they don't offer the 8700g as a replacement. They are offering the 8700BLU. Does anyone know if there's a difference. I looked at the Asurion (insurance co.) comparison chart and it looks like the BLU doesn't handle the multiple email acocunts that the G does. Anyone have a clue? I'm hoping that I can just clean the track wheel, but if I have to invest in a new one (even with insurance its $100+!!! -- GRRR!!) I want to make sure I'm getting a comparable unit.

All 8700 models are the same hardware-wise. The feature-set depends on the software version installed. The final lettering on 8700 models only refers to specific provider releases. They have appearance/cosmetic differences. For example a front plastic screen from a cingular 8700 wont fit a T-mobile one. Other than that the hardware is the same. If you replace a 8700G with a 8700 from ANY other provider you're getting back the same phone.

Never heard of an 8700BLU.
