It's a quad-band GSM device. What type of network does China have?

It will need to be unlocked to be able to use a sim card from a chinese carrier.

In order to clarify the mishmash of information above, here is the deal:
1. The 8700c is a quad-band GSM device that will function on Chinese GSM networks such as China Mobile
2. The device will need to be unlocked if you plan to use a SIM card from one of the Chinese networks. Otherwise, you will be limited to using an old Cingular or new at&t Mobility SIM card
3. Your profile says that you have Verizon and a Storm. If that is in fact the case, you don't need or want an 8700. If this is not the case, please update your profile.
