Is anyone using SQL 2008? If so, are you having any problems?

He may be referring to the database which BES connects to. If so, it should be moved to the BES Admin Corner.

I doubt RIM supports SQL server 2008.

Thanks for the URL link. I know this is not a Microsoft site. We currently have SQL 2000 and I wanted to know if anyone was running SQL 2008 with the BES database. We'll just upgrade to SQL 2005.

I had tried SQL 2008 when I moved the BES to a new box.

Although I was aware it was an "unsupported" configuration by RIM, I wanted to see how it worked. It failed miserably. I couldn't restore my SQL2005 BES_Mgmt DB, and even after creating it manually it was riddled with problems.

My advice, upgrade from SQL2K to SQL2K5... My guess is the new BES 5.0 will support SQL2K8.
