Hello. First post since the database problem, i hope these problems can be fixed and that database backups are now performed daily , but Guess runs a good show here and this is just a minor setback.. in the long run this is just one of the growing pains of such a popular site and idea.

Back on topic, re: 4.0 for Rogers:

Let me add that my (and others) rogers reps were uninformed as expected..

the release of December 12'th was not for OS 4.0, but was for BES 4.0. You can now buy BES 4.0 from rogers and this is confirmed. If i recal the date was pushed to the 17'th but it was indeed released.

However, my rep says early january for the OS 4.0...

I was pretty sure my reps were uninformed but hey, we had to wait until the actual release date to find out the real answer..

AT & T has just released 4.0.0.201!

This should work without any problems on all other GSM/GPRS berries.

The files are exactly the same size so they are probably the same.

Maybe ATT "optimized" it for the 850 network for cingular.. hmm...

In the Hong Kong 1010 download directory http://1010.hkcsl.com/download/blackberry/ you will find they have uploaded version 4.0.0.185 for the 7290 (they have not added a link from the front page/menu).

I have been using it for a couple of days no problems so far.
