You don't have what yet?
A BB? A data plan?

Why bother buying a BB if you do not intend to use email and internet. Nokia may be a better choice?

You will only be able to use voice and SMS services with prepaid service. You will not have access to BlackBerry functions such as e-mail and web browsing.

I think that this sentence you OP was part of the confusion. It's not clear what you meant by "it" or by "but i will be".

God has nothing to do with this. Now, what's your problem with our responses?

Jadey

Trent, what is your problem?

I asked you to clarify what you meant, another posted queried whether a BB was best purchase considering no desire for email or net (valid questions) and dc/dc answered you.

What exactly have you taken issue with?

Oh, and by the way, if you continue swearing for no reason you will be banned.

Wow, what an extreme reaction by the OP.

Sorry, but I was merely trying to point out why some of the responses where given they way they were. That it may have been because the initial post might have been unclear.

Done with this one. :)

I think you got ripped off. A 7230 should be less than $40 AUS.

Yeah, you got ripped off. I paid less than that for an almost brand new one over 2 years ago.

The 7230 is about 6 years old now.

I'd also like to get rid of my Internet service on my Blackberry. It's a work-owned Blackberry and I never have a work-related need to use the Internet unless I'm at my desk in front of my computer, and I do not want to be using the Blackberry for personal stuff.

Jadey

If it is a work owned device, and you don't use the internet one way or another... What's the issue with it? Why go to the effort of attempting to block valid functionality on a corp device you do not own?
Just ignore the web browser icon. Or hide it.

Trent14
04-12-2009, 05:42 AM
i would hide it so you dont press it by mistake

To hide an icon on the Home screen, select an
icon. Hold the Alt key and click the trackwheel.
Click Hide Application.

To show a hidden icon on the Home screen, hold
the Alt key and click the trackwheel. Click Show
All. Hold the Alt key and click a crossed-out icon.
Click Hide Application.

might work?

Motorcycle Mama

Yes. Just hide the icon and you will be fine.

Is that right?

Jadey

Yes Trent, that is right.

One minor addition -

The "show all" menu item will not appear unless something is hidden. So if you cannot see this option, it means nothing is hidden.
