There is no memory card. I assume you mean media card? Media card and device memory are two different things.

The media card size you can use depends on your OS.

I know all about the memory cards. My device memory is full and I'm trying to see if there is any way to add extra memory on to it so I can install more stuff.

Nope. What you have is what you have. Once you get low on memory, the BB starts deleting things like email, TMs, phone logs and the like.

The SD card can be used for media, ringtones, music, pictures etc., so move all of those types of files there.
