I have Ramble IM installed on my 7100t and I rather use that than the TMo instant messenger that uses SMS instead of data. How do I go about removing it? I tried before and it was gone, but when I rebooted the phone, the "Instant Messaging" link reappeared under Applications and when I click on it, it starts downloading TMo's messaging again.

Thanks.

Hold the alt key (bottom left) and click the wheel... then choose hide.

You can't remove it, as you've experienced... It will redownload and install by itself.

Thanks a lot. Sucks that it redownloads by itself.

Hide it and forget its there since it is in your device it will not redownload itself and show its "ugly" face to you ever again.

Delete the T-Mobile USA IM service book first and then delete Instant Messaging from Applications. It won't redownload unless you register it in the Host Routing Tables or reload the OS.

I had hidden the application before I deleted the service book. How do I "show" the application again so I can delete it?
