Can BB Bell 8830 Be Switched To Use On Rogers?
If this can be done, can someone let me know how?

No it cannot. The 8830 is a CDMA device with international capabilities. It does not pickup North American GSM frequencies.

even though it has a sim card slot?
I inserted a rogers sim and it poped a message saying would u like the bb to automatically enter the gsm mode?

It has a SIM card slot to pick up international GSM frequencies.
Rogers uses 850/1900 MHz GSM band, the 8830 will only work on 900/1800 MHz GSM band. Therefore, it will not work on Rogers.

well, the story of this phone is that my brother in law bought it cheap and we were trying to figure out what it can be done to it....
i love my bold....hehehe

Try selling it if it doesn't suit your needs.
