i have some work computers that can send a page for trouble conditions on stuff that it monitors. instead of the pager can it get sent to my bb? i have done a search and most of the post are a bit old so i am checking to see if anything is new.

thanks.. the next question is how? we need to send out a code like 111 or 222 etc that would tell us what the alert condition is.currently it dials our phones and all we get is the land line its calling from...do i have to pay for a service?
if anyone knows about Alerton controls that would help too.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood the pager type you were using. I was thinking of an alpha pager like the old Skytel units where you could receive messages.

Please disregard my message. :)

There is a RIM document on this. It's an add-on to the BB email service. At first glance, it does not appear to support the new models however....
