View Full Version : 7100T Standby Mode

I've had my 7100t for about a month now. I used to have a time that after a few minutes my screen would go black and then once I try to do something on it it would come back. I installed the new OS( and now it doesn't do that. I have done a search on the forums and last time (August) it looks like it was something that was maybe being worked on. Anyone have an update on this????

I'll ask the obvious question.

Have you checked your settings? Granted, it should have been preserved but check anyway.

Goto Tools > Settings > Screen/Keyboard

Check your values there.

Obvious question but yes... Under that option I have the following
Font Family
Font Size
Font Style
Antialias Mode
Backlight Brightness
Backlight Timeout
LED Coverage Indicator
Key Tone
Key Rate

Very Weird..... I charged my blackberry last night and since it wouldn't go into standby my battery drained down to 5%. Since I have started charging it it now seems to be going into standby.....

How's that work? :???:

No offense but I think I got a female blackberry!

That's funny !!

Backlight Timeout is what you want to check. Press the Space key to rotate through the possible values.

I have my Brightness set to 60 and timeout set for 1 min.

Good Luck!

sometimes the other thing that help is just removing the battery for a minute or two, then reseating it. I have seen it work many many times.
