No Service Alert?

My blackberry gets terrible reception in my house. When I have it on the coffee table or the nightstand it sometimes flashes a yellow light on the lcd indicator (or whatever it's called on the top right of the phone). Is there any kind of audible alert i can have my phone make as to alert me that it has no signal?

Yellow-green LED is low battery.

I don't know of an audible alert notification.

I had around 50% battery life though...

Was it green flashing = the LED coverage indicator (Options > Screen/Keyboard)?

Or do you have any other LED controller installed... BBAlerts, or such?
