Another dumb question

Please forgive me for these dumb questions, but sometimes I just can't help it! I have to return my Storm for a new one. The speaker screen has a dent in it when I bought is a couple of days ago and just noticed it. My question is this: if I back up this phone to my computer and when I get my new phone, can I just restore to the new phone with all my information from my old phone? Will this work or because it will have a different ID number will it not be able to do this? Thank you in advance!

it will work fine with the DTM.

3rd party apps will need to be reinstalled however

The Switch Device Wizard, part of Desktop Manager, will back up both data AND installed applications, and restore them to a new BlackBerry.

The only thing you will have to do on your 3rd party apps like slacker radio for example, is login your information again but you should be all set otherwise.
