View Full Version : Synchonisation Problem

I am relatively new to the BB, and I am having a problem with the synchronisation of the Calendar on my 8110.

The synchonisation is set up to work both ways from device to outlook and from outlook to device.

If I add a new calendar entry into my BB, the synchronisation doesn't pick it up and move it to Outlook.

I use my device to collect email from three addresses, but ALL the calendar entries belong to the same email, my default email address.

Also, when I syncronise, the calendar moves all entries from Outlook to the BB, NOT JUST NEW additions - so it's like it wipes the device and re-inserts the lot.

This only seems to have happened since I updated the firmware on the BB and updated the Desktop Manager to

How do I get it to just "update the changes" like it used to appear to do?

Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Services, make sure the CICAL entry is correct.

If all your calendar events in Outlook are current then go into the BlackBerry Desktop Manager -> Backup/Restore -> Advanced, Clear the BB calendar and then reset the sync and reconfigure it.

Do you have multiple calendars in Outlook are just 1 (the default one)?

checked the CICAL, and that is correct.

Cleared the device calendar, and then re-synced ALL APPOINTMENTS, including past, of which there was 70.

I then added a new appointment to Outlook, and then re-synced, and it is adding 71 to the device this time


I have only the one profile in Outlook.

I have added a new appointment in the device, and again, it is trying to add 71 appointments


and it has not moved the appointment from the device to the Outlook Calendar. As you can see, I have the sync set up for bi-directional swap

Might be worth a shot, to reconfigure the sync to go from BB to Outlook.

There is an Intellisync folder somewhere on your computer.. find it and delete the contents. It's exact location escapes me at the moment.
