Can't figure out this Clacking!

I just got my BB 8900 two days ago. I was able to receive calls and make calls prior to this. Today, when I answered my phone I hear this "clack, clack, clack". When I try to call someone I hear these clacking sound and can hear the broken ringing in between this clacking sound. It's annoying as hell.

Any idea as to what setting is causing this? I disabled BT, but wi-fi is enabled. Could this be a problem. Please help before I got get a better phone.

tried another sim card/operator to make sure its not a routing problem on your line? Probably is the phone, but if you dont remember dropping it or anything it might be network. At home my coverage is bad and i get crackling which is odd since its a digital connection but nonetheless.
