Using DM 4.7, I can sync my contacts but the calendar does not update. This is the first time this has occurred. Any ideas for solution?

I'm assuming you have double-checked your configuration settings in DM and DM is set to sync the calendar data. Correct?

What are you seeing? Does DM attempt to sync the calendar and then not complete? Error message?

Look at the sync log in DM. Any clue there?

Which version of Outlook, as well as the above questions.

Using Outlook 2007. There is no attempt to sync calendar noted. I will check the log as mentioned.

I'd would also reset the sync settings in Desktop Manager and then reconfigure the Calendar only and see if it syncs, then configure the rest.

Do not try using the Calendar, using a GTD application instead. It's much more productive.

Was it working previously? What changed on the BB since the last good calendar sync?

I use Google Sync as my backup for my contacts and calendar....;-)

I have deleted and reinstalled DM 4.7. Tried syncing calendar only. Still no sync for calendar. Previous post indicates the Google sync can be used. Does that mean that I can sync my Outlook calendar and contacts to 8830 using Google sync?

Wirelessly posted (8820)

There's another thread in the past week or so that is very similar. I don't have it in from of me, but I thinks the gist of it was that the user made sure the CICAL setting in default servies in options matched the calendar default. It's new to me so I don't really understand.

EDIT: I remembered it wrong. See

Thanks a lot!! That solved my problem! These devices can be baffling at times.

Excellent!

Lesson learned is the answers are usually here on the forum somewhere, though you may have to search for them.

A big thanks from me, also. Mine had been magically reset to %&#@<hidden>+# Facebook. Even though I told the app not to associate with any of my phone info, it hijacked this setting anyway.
