I just lost my pearl and ordered a used pearl. is all my info lost or can i access it thru the desktop manager somehow? I back up and restore every once in a while. Can i syncronise it somehow with my new pearL?

If you've got a backup somewhere on your computer yeah sure you can restore that backup to the new pearl no problem,if you wanna sync you need outlook or some other messaging client.

Ditto. You can restore your backup to the new blackberry. If that's all you have, then you will only recover what information was on the blackberry when you did the backup. If you were also sync'ing the blackberry with Outlook or something, then you will be able to recover additional information from that PIM app when you sync the new blackberry.
