Hello All
I seek your kind attention.
I upgraded my Blackberry 8800 Device Software to latest version 4.5.140. The handset was running fine until today morning when I all of a sudden encountered APP ERROR 523.
I triend connecting it using Desktop Manager but the software doesn't recognize my handset. I tried wiping handset using Java Loader but even that didn't help.
I have no clue how to solve this problem, please help me out.

Your BB is empty to begin to with :) Hope you have a backup.

Most likely you had a theme on the device that wasn't compatible with 4.5 and it gave you the error. Since you wiped the device, you will need to follow the steps Steve posted above.

Sincere thanks to all of you. I could at last reinstall the OS fresh and the device started running.
