I have a couple of users with 1000-7000 contacts, and they are interested in syncing these from gmail to blackberry OTA

I myself use google sync, but with 150ish contacts. After implementing these users, they are finding that their BB is constantly hourglassing I assume trying to process the large sync dataset.

Is there any better way to do this, short of implementing exchange/BES? Maybe even set google sync to sync at 6 hour intervals?

thanks!
