Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong here: I tried installing a 3rd party software to my 8700g and it seemed to have creashed the OS. I've been getting the repeating hour glass cycle for the past 3 weeks now. Removed the battery (and left it out for a week), same hour glass when i put it back in. It connects to Desktop Manager i.e. it reads connected to USBpin#. So i tried reinstalling the operating system (8707g 4.2 is the OS i tried installing). Everythig goes well up to the point where i select the apps to install and click next. It give me a error saying "Invalid Configuration: The Application "Blackberry 4.2 Core Applications" cannot be loaded because some required files are not available".
Tried wiping with both javaloader and JL CMDR but i get an error saying unable to open port. Tried a hunded times with DM closed-Same error. I even followed the instructions at What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_wipe, but when i get to the point to load the apps, it tells me no apps found. I have no idea what to do here.
SOMEONE PLEEZZ HELP.
TANX A MIL.

So what is the status of your BB currently?

When you power it on, what happens?

That's your issue. You're trying to load the 8707's OS on your 8700. You need to download an install the OS for the 8700, NOT the 8707.

Here you go:

And welcome to the forums.

I don't think you ever won the tool-of-the-month trophy. That's only been given to one person so far ;-)
So yes, you are out of the toolbox and onto the bench.

I figured dat was the problem...i was hoping it wasnt cuz im in a country that doesnt allow me to download from blackberry.com servers, and seems like i'm stuck here for another couple of months. I only have the OS for 8707g and i was hoping it'll work. Anyone know where i can download 8700g OS other than blackberry.com?

Why don't you bypass the web limitation by using the Tor network? Tor: anonymity online (http://www.torproject.org/)
