I'm a Blackberry owner who owns a vehicle that has Microsoft SYNC in it. Unfortunately I can't take advantage of the audible, hands-free text messaging feature because Blackberry's aren't able to send text messages out via Bluetooth.

A tech support representative from SYNC told me that BBerry not only isn't able to do this, but it never will be in the future either. Does anyone know why such a popular smartphone would fail to have this simple capability? It's killing me to now be able to use my Blackberry for this feature in my car :x

Wirelessly posted (My Bold)

It is prob a privacy feature. However, there may be a fix. Call your cell carrier and have them open a support ticket eith rim and see what they say

Probably just a reason for Miscrosoft to get you to get a phone that uses Windows Mobile OS, lol!

Text messaging is a phone feature, not a BB feature. My guess is that it would be phone related and Win Mo devices have a feature to route it that way.

Seems a bit insecure to me.
