Hi, I have had a replacement 8820 for my US one. I cannot enable Bluetooth, it states that Bluetooth is Disabled, and the page will freeze, escape to get out. I have tried from Manage Connections, box is not ticked and there is a red circle with a white X in centre. I have tried to tick the box but to no avail.
I am no expert on these matters, but I had no trouble with my previous 8820, it was quickly set up for car and headset. Any help would be appreciated.

This replacement could have been on a BES and have an IT policy governing it which disabled the bluetooth.

Search these forums for how to remove an IT policy to see if it helps you.

Thanks again for the reply. No it would not have been on BES, it is brand new from Orange in UK.

Then it might be that you have a defective device. Ytu should take it back and have them look at it.

Yes I could send it back, but as this is a replacement for my original, I am reluctant to do this at present, as I shall get all the hassle of waiting for another and will have to set it all up again. Thanks.

Most of the time when you get a replacement device, they are refurbished devices, not "new." It is possible Kirrinjones is correct. It won't hurt to try the ResetToFactory setting in JL_Cmder.

Thanks for that, but I am sorry but I have no idea what JL-CMDER is.
Where would I find Factory Reset.

One more question please, by doing a factory re-set, will I lose anything from BB, such as Themes etc. Will a back up save things like this.

This will reset the device back to default.

You will want to backup your data. That will not backup your themes and 3rd party applications. To back those up, follow these steps:
