Setting up blackberry

I have a curve 8900 and i added the blackberry data plan to my o2 contract.
I set my email up but my internet(not wifi) did not work.
I rang o2 and they sed i had to register my handset with my imei and pin on o2email.co.uk.
When i did i restarted my handset and i could not send emails and i could only receive.

Any help Please! it will be much appreciated!

Go to the O2 BIS site confirm the IMEI and PIN is registered and resend your service books.

Then, with the device on, pull the battery for about 30 seconds, reinsert and let it reboot.

Can you send and receive now?

Also is there a way to check if the internet is working or not?
As when i turn off wifi, i can browse the internet, but the Xenozu youtube app doesn't work when i try to search videos?

Do you have the BB Browser? That is generally the indication that the proper service books are in place. And does that allow you to surf the web - not those specific sites but something easy like google.com or cnn.com, etc.
