8700c charge interface

I'm pretty sure I read that it is (but can't find it again if I did), but can anyone confirm if the 8700c uses the same charging interface as the 7290? I'm curious if my mobility electronics iGo iTip will be compatible with the new device. Thanks!

All the old chargers seem to work with the 8700 so far.

At the lower level, I don't know if the subtleties are the same (i.e. USB 100mA->500mA autonegotiation for you electronics geeks) but I have not seen any differences so far. Yet.
