Which one???

I like the looks of the 7100 but I hear the 7250 is faster and more reliable. I'd just like some opinions...

Thanks
Jared

The 7250 is faster and in my opinion more reliable just look at the long list of complaints from 7100 users here (there are several threads in this forum you can look at), and the most important past for me is the fact that the 7250 uses a full QWERTY keyboard and not that hard to use SureType.

It might also depend on who you ask. I have never used a blackberry in my life before I got my 7105t. So I have no previous experiences with other handhelds to complain against while many others users have had multiple blackberries. It might also differ for me because it is a newer model, although its only a cosmetic difference, I recieved a newer OS than the initial 7100 release. My biggest complaint is that the buttons are too close together. Also if your talking about 7100e for verizon, its going to be the 7130e which might be totally different.

JaredThere's the 8700, which looks somewhat 7100ish and has a great screen, and works on the same carriers as the 7100. (Cingular and Rogers first though). The 7250 is a fast device, but the 8700 benchmarks about 2.5 times faster than the 7250.

So if you're looking for a 7100-like phone BlackBerry (SEND/END button and slightly smaller size) but like the speed and QWERTY of the 7250, then the 8700 is your BlackBerry.

If you have to have Verizon, the decision is easier. There is no 7100 form factor device for Verizon now. Also, any comparisons between the 7130, the Verizon model of the future, and the 7100t are not fair because I don't think many people here have had their hands on the 7130 to compare it to the 7100t.

If you have to have a Verizon BB now, you have your choice of the 7250. If you can wait (how long?) you can get the 7130e from Verizon.

That is what I am trying to decide. I must stick with Verizon and am trying to decide to get the 7250 now or the 7130e later. Unfortunately the 8700 will be out of the question until verizon slowly gets theirs. I guess I might go ahead and get the 7250 now then. With a $100 rebate it comes down to a pretty good price.
