i do not see an icon for the GPS in curve 8900?

Options > Advanced > GPS.

There you can refresh or change the GPS settings.

You will use BBMaps, Google Maps or another application for mapping your GPS location.

DM is Desktop Manager. You use it to access your Blackberry device.

how to go to DM?

I mean desktop manager
Open it up and go to upload application there you will get list of application one of them is bb maps mark it and push on the proceed its will upload the maps on your device

aim not able to surf the web from my SIM although i have a subscribtion with unlimited access to the net. When i click on the browser i get this message:
unable to connect



WI-FI works fine with me.

did you set your apn
if not go to application then advence then tcp and set your apn if you dont know it ask your operator

Is your subscription for a blackberry specific plan or general internet plan? Without a BB plan, you will not be able to use BB specific features.

Its not complitly wright
I uses gps on my device with 3th party app I uses telmap and I don't have bb plan
