I have an employee that is set up for Blackberry Internet using Blackberry Desktop Manager.

When she sync's it sync's EVERYTHING every time!

For instance ... it will read 451 objects then process all 451 objects. it then moves on to read and then process 1284 entries for the calendar and so on.

All in all it does 4 sets of entries with 451, 368, 1284 and then finally 52 entries each.

This takes a while. It seems as though it is reading and processing everything every time. Is there some way to have it only sync new items?

Yes there is a setting. It may also be helpful to sync one PIM module at a time.

So what is the setting? Can't find anything about only syncing new items.
Thanks.

Check the configuration for each application - Calender, Contacts, etc.

I see where you can do a one way sync or a two way sync. I also see where you can filter results but it is very "Field" level driven.

I don't see any setting that sets it to only sync's new items.

I see what your talking about... When you the sync in the Desktop Manager it will check all the PIM application everytime to check for changes. (Tasks/Calendar/Memos/Contacts)

That is what it is suppose to do.

What version of the desktop manager are you using 4.7 has been known to give longer then normal sync times I would try a different one, if you are using that one.

minimize it, that can make it faster too by not having to draw the graphics on your screen.

No way to tell it to sync only "new" items.. it will run through each stored item when you sync. For instance, if you sydc your Calendar, it will scan through every record in your Calendar. There is no option to select to scan only new items.. same for Contacts/Address book.
