wow, that's cheap. Is there any way you can buy the phone from amazon, and extend your contract through them as well?

someone told me that Amazon rebates are not paid in one installment, like maybe $50 for the first 6 months of service etc etc and that Customer service for your phone is through them not Cingular.

Any truths to this?

Get $150.00 from Amazon.com with this rebate when you activate a service plan of $39.99 or higher.

So adding a line for only 9.99, I would assume doesnt constitute for the rebate.

Also note that they do not have any way for you to select the Blackberry data plan.

If you could order it with that, you could then move your voice plan over to the phone after you get it.

Also rebate is for purchase before November 30.

Does anyone know if the new service plan that is required, is it a new voice plan or a new blackberry plan? I am looking to acquire the 8700 as my first BB device and would have to activate a new blackberry plan but intended to maintain the current voice plan that I have.

i spoke with a instore rep and he said the data plans were 49.99. i thought it was 44.99. i guess the extra 5 is for Edge? im not sure if the voice plan is the same as the data plan. sorry, im new to BB too.

The data plan is 44.99 with a voice plan 39.99 and up, if you just get data, then you have to pay 49.99. You basically save 5.00 when you package it with a voice plan

Have to have a Voice plan + a Data plan. So if your voice is 39.99 a month, add the 49.99 a month data plan on top of that, your monthly would be 89.98 a month.

I just said this....if you have a voice plan packaged with your data plan, you get a 5.00 discount on the data sooooo...a 39.99 voice with a 44.99 data will run you about 85.00
