I accidently updated my 8830 W.E using the Curve software update and it replaced my original operating software with the Curve system. Now my phone runs as a Curve instead of the original 8830 W.E. Any help as to how I can delete this OS and re-install my 8830 software?

There is no way to put the Curve software on an 8830.... it won't install. Each OS is device model specific.

You would think so, but it tells me that the system software is 8800 and not 8830.
What had happened was we downloaded the Curve update for another BlackBerry and accidently placed that update onto the 8830 too. When we did, it changed the way the phone runs and shows that it is an 8800. Any way to revert it back?

The 8800 isn't a Curve.

You may be fvcked.
Try wiping the device using jl_cmder.

Well I may be mistaken as to the software, but either way, it doesn't run as an 8830. So I've heard about that program, but I have no idea how to use it, or even what to do after I have used it.

Thanks. Another question about the program. After having removed the OS from my blackberry, will I have to download the OS online and transfer it to my blackberry, or what?

Yes. Download the latest handheld OS for your model (there seems to be some confusion - look behind the battery on the label for the true model - and follow the instructions for loading the OS. It must be loaded via a PC.

Sure it is. When you come back to Earth and are serious about getting some assistance, just post back here.
I'm getting back to working on my Bold which seems to have become an iPhone all by itself.
