No Tones?!

Just got the 8300 world edition to replace a sunken Curve. I updated the software and got all my stuff loaded but now all of a sudden the thing emits no tones whatsoever. It vibrates and that is it. Even when I enter the tones menu to try and sample other tones for it the thing will emit no sound. I have it set to a "loud" profile and still nothing.

Anyone?

Firstly try a battery pull etc and if that does not help try reinstalling the os; it may have badly installed.

Make sure that Volume is not on MUTE, because even if you set a tone, if volume is on mute, then you won't hear anything.

I will correct you - the 8830 WE. But what OS is on the device? There was a "bad" beta which did not include tones/tunes and needed a fix. Make sure you have the most recent OS and it might help to have the official carrier version, too.
