email going into text

Just received my new Blackberry Curve
set up email but the email also goes into the messages box where the text's
go.
I really do not need my email going to two places how can I stop it from going to the text box

If you look in the settings in the messages folder, you can list the SMS messages seperately if you like.
It may be theme dependent and depend on OS version.

ALL messages go to the messages icon unless u go to messages - options-general options
and change sms and email inboxes to seperate or theme controlled.
