Shortcut for composing email?

Hello
I was wondering if there is an easier way of composing an email then to go to the address book selecting the name and presing the track wheel to "email XXXX"

With my 7520 all I had to do was press enter on the name and it would go to compose email.

From the messages screen on the 7100i, press the "L" key and then choose the contact you would like to compose an email to....
