Newbie needs help (plz)

when i try to turn on my wireless on, it says data conn. refused. this is my only way of connecting on a browser right...i dunno how else. (silly question for most im sure)

You'll need to signup for a Blackberry data plan.

try to remove the battery and put it back (reset).
It happened to me once.
what network signal you're getting? sos/GSM/gprs/GPRS?

if the above measures are not efficacious, you may be out of tower range. This happens to be regularly, as my area is at the outer limits of data transmission.
