I go to settings, then advanced settings and I do not see the TCP setting. Is there something I need to do get get that setting or is it in a different place on the 8330? Thanks

Sprint doesn't use TCP settings. They're all blank. It should be under Options > Advanced Options.

Oh ok, thanks for that info. So if I want to use Opera Mini on a generic service plan, how can I configure it without TCP? Is it possible? Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8700g)
BB's require a Blackberry plan. Either BIS or BES.

ovurt is partially correct.
To get full functionality you need a BlackBerry Data Plan. CDMA devices requires a data plan. GSM devices, with the correct TCP APN information, can use Opera and other third party applications with a non-BlackBerry Data Plan.
