Problem wih DM

i got the following problems when i plugged in my 8900 and started DM 5.0;

1. Detected update from .199 to .250 and several other language update etc.
2. clicked next and proceed to install the update, however unable to complete the update
3. During the process, i saw the status as; 'Turning off radio device', turning on radio device'.
4. error message 'A fatal error has occurred. Please try again.'

also, when i'm in DM5.0, unable to reconcile messages and DM5.0 can't detect my MS Outlook when i tried to sync the calender...

anyone facing such problem? what's the possible cause of this?
