And still can't not figure this out. I search on here and went through i think 7 or 8 pages of threads, so I was forced to start a thread.

Ok I've never had a so called Smart phone and a friend of mine upgraded to the BBworld and gave me her 8703e to try out and see if it is something I could use with my everyday life and my photography business.

So here is the problem. Keep in mind I have no data plan with this phone just phone call and text messaging.

I want to be able to transfer some pictures from my PC to my BB kind of as advertisement when someone wants to see my work and cant get to a computer to get to my web site. So I went to BB website and downloaded that Desktop manager installed it and then connected my phone to the USB cable, Desktop Manager picked it up showed connected and I thought good deal this was simple, well I was wrong. I can transfer anything to the BB from my PC.

My BB is CDMA v.4.1.0.377 and the platform is 2.2.0178
I downloaded Software For BlackBerry Desktop Software v4.2 now I was looking around and it say you must have the desktop software and the handheld. well when I went to DL the handheld software and the bottom it said "Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld."

So I got the numbers off my phone and looked for the right one, which none of them seemed to be the right one, maybe im just slow and can't figure things out.

The main reason I have the phone is because I don't want to carry a day planner and address book around but I would like to be able to have some pictures on it and maybe a few songs.

If this issue has been covered I apologize for starting yet another thread on it, cause in my search I noticed a lot of the same question being asked over and over again.

But thank you fro your help in this matter.

Wirelessly posted (Tour)

First off this is an older model BB. There is no media card to store pics and songs. Therefore you will have very limited space for this. As far as the calendar and contacts are concerned we can work with that. Just need to decide if this is the right model for you.
