Mine has just enough play to be a little annoying at times. However, most of the time I don't even notice.

Single thickness of business card torn in half fixed mine.

Used a thin piece of plastic film from a CD slip cover cut to fit to stop it from moving. Just enough to get friction but not too much to stress the plastic clips or bulge the cover. Too bad- that would have been easy to fix during design & testing of the thing.

Yes, but then you wouldn't get the chance to play MacGuyver :-P

Mine has a slight amount of play as well. Not as bad as any of the 7100s I've seen.. The 8700 and 7100 have a similar battery cover style.

The 8700c covers are tight. So tight they are a pain to remove.

Reminds me of a Maddona song..."Like a V...gin"

Wirelessly posted (7280: BlackBerry7280/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/5.1.2.9)

I wonder how many broads we have on this board and if we're loosing them as we continue this thread.

I guess we could have blamed it on how large or small the battery was:)

It's not the size of the battery that matters, but how long it lasts.

Mine is tight, not "Like a V..gin" as my 7290 was, but good which is good. My 7290 I felt like a it was going to break every time I tried to get it off...

my 8700 is tight and i was glad because my 7290 would come off way too easy.

Whoever gave the idea to stick half a business card in between the battery and the door ... bravo! It worked perfectly for me!

Now back to tight vs. loose women ;)

I used to do something similiar w/ paper or a business card between the phone and battery way back in the days with my tdma Nokia when the battery got loose. Blackberry wise my 8700r door fits very tight.

I think the mere existance of a message board for Blackberries sent the women packing long long ago fellas, hate to burst your bubbles.
