BB Messenger oddities

Hi,

My first post and a new owner of a BB Bold.

I have the latest version of messenger.
It works great and I can send pics and voice notes. But when I try to send a spreadsheet file
I get a pop up box that tells me I can only send audio or pictures to the contact. I get the same msg
Regardless of the contact. The file in question is only 25 kb in size.

Any ideas

Thanks. I guess I was confused by the menu option that says "send file" and then let's u browse and select a file.

I am sure I read some BB marketing material saying it was possible to send files with BB messenger but I must have been mistaken
