I have an iphone at present but need another phone. I am looking at the BB but am finding it difficult to chose between two models, the 9500 latest one and the Bold. I have heard bad things about the 9500 battery life so wonder if the bold is better but can find little info.

Anyone that has any experiance of these two models could help me out I would really appreciate it, thanks

well the 9500 is a touch screen
the bold is qwerty.

the bold is available on o2, the storm (9500) isnt and you would have to purchase an unlocked one.

You should really go to a retail store and play with each one. Get a feel for the different interfaces. For me, the Storm's original virtual keyboard was a non-starter. I'm reading that the Storm 2 might change this, but for now I'm sticking with physical keyboard models.

I am used to the touchscreen I have a 3Gs iPhone. I am more concerned with the battery life of the 9500 not being so good. Is the battery life on the Bold half decent.?

Thanks for the replies so far, much appreciated. Will also go into town to physically feel them although the sales staff there will tell you anything for a sale, rather have experience from people who will tell it straight.

the battery life depends on how much you use your bold. For example, my dad talks on his bold for life 5-7 hours, therefore, its always in the charger, versus me who talks maybe 1 hour the whole day, therefore, I charge like every other day. It depends on you.

try the 8900 curve. Like the bold but smaller, better resolution and a better camera.

Just looked at the curve 8900 and the curve 8520. He said in the shop they were exactly the same as the bold. He also said I didnt want a storm as I would like it. Nice of his to think he knows what I like, perhaps because he didnt sell the Storm would have some bearing on it !!

maybe, but the storm does not have a true touch secreen if you know what i mean. Also, because the screen is one big button, there are gaps around it to allow it to pivot. this gap attracts dust and shit and could damage the phone. If you are really in to touch screens, wait for the storm 2. Also don't be fooled when someone says the 8520 is the same as the 8900, it isn't. The 8520 is the cheapest BB you can get. Know what I mean?

Seems to me after looking on Google is that the Storm has some serious issues with dust under the screen. Wow
