Hello
I'm about to get a BlackBerry 8520, and am curious to know if there are alternatives on the desktop side to Blackberry's Desktop Manager and MS Outlook.
Thank you.

There's always BlackBerry Desktop for Mac and iCal/Address Book. :-)
You might find some Linux solutions as well.
In addition to MS Outlook (used by 95% of the business world), BlackBerry Desktop Manager supports these:
• ACT!™ 4.0.2/2000
• GroupWise 5.5/6
• Lotus Notes 4.5/4.6/5
• Lotus Organizer 5/6
• Microsoft Schedule+ 7.5
• Microsoft Schedule+ Default

There are alternatives to using Outlook but I'd recommend sticking with it. Everything is designed to sync with Outlook which is a plus (should you decide to migrate to a different device).

Thanks guys. I just don't like Outlook, so I guess I'll investigate alternatives that use it as a way to sync up with a BlackBerry.
