I'm new to the blackberry and this forum. I am having a problem with my blackberry

Verizon Storm 9530

My phone does this really annoying thing where it will randomly stop receiving emails,bbms, facebook notifications, texts, MMS....everything....and I don't notice this until I do my battery pull and all of these items start flooding in.
Has this happened to anyone?? I dunno if this is a self fix or can verizon do something to fix this.
