I just purchased a 7100T from Venicom with service from T-Mobile. They did not offer the T-Mobile BB Minutes and Mail plan. I had to get the $39.99 1000 minutes plan with BB add-on for $19.99. My question is once I recieve the unit will I be able to swap to the $59.99 BB Minutes and Mail plan?

Even though I did not purchase the device through T-Mobile? As I read the description for the BB M&M, it indicates that this is for new activations only through T-Mobile. As taken from website "Please note: Prices exclusive to T-Mobile.com and valid only with new service activation. "

I purchased my 7100t through a store down the street from my work. They also signed me up for a voice plan plus the BlackBerry add-on. I wanted Minutes and Mail for the unlimited SMS, so I called up T-Mobile and asked them to switch me. They said that it was a plan for new customers only, so I'd have to commit to a one year contract from the date I signed up for Minutes and Mail. I said that was fine, because I'd only signed up for a year contract a week ago. They said give it a few hours and you'd be switched over. I just got my first bill a while ago and everything seems to be in order -- a few prorated days on the old plan, plus the remainder on Minutes and Mail. Totally painless, really. T-Mobile doesn't charge to switch plans.

I purchased my 7100t from venicom also ($110-$100 rebate =$10, sold T720 for $70, RIM950 for $40, so i made $100!!!)

I signed up for the NW Bus 1500 Unl Wknd for $79.99 and the blackberry addon for $19.99 and just switched to the Blackberry mimutes and mail ultra for $89.99. I too had to reup for a year, but since I just started the other plan it was only a couple more weeks.

I was looking at the minutes and mail thing, but I think in my case I'm going to stick with the 600 minutes and the add on web, because that way i get free nights and weekends. The way I understang it the m & m does not come with that. something to consider if you talk alot on weekends.

i was told by a venicom rep that in order to change your plan in anyway you have to do it through venicom... or it would void the contract and you would have to end up paying that big fee...

what i wanted to do was since i'm on that 39.99 plan with data... i wanted to add a line to my plan and switch my plan to a family plan... but the plans venicom has listed are way to much in price and minutes than what i need... she told me that i would have to be with them for 4 months then they can change my plan to a family plan that is less than what they have and add a line...

is all this bull?

Are people receiving their rebates when purchasing from Venicom? Has anyone been hit with the large fee for changing their plan in the first four months? Any complaints? Who handles problems with the phone - Venicom or TMO?

Just following up - received the rebate from Venicom. Would certainly do biz with them again.
