My company has been deploying a new image to everyone's PC. Everyone that gets this new image gets prompted to install the blackberry driver so they can charge their device via USB.

Our users don't have administrator rights, so I have to go to each desk, log on as myself, and install the blackberry driver. With an estimated 300 PC in the update queue, it would be nice if I could remotely install the drivers or maybe drop the blackberry driver in the /system32/drivers folder....

Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Geoff

Cant you relocate the install to where the users can access it? Then just send out an email with directions on how to install via LAN.

They are not admins - they can't install the drivers.

TC - do you have any sort of software distribution tool like SMS (ughh) or something like that. You can package up the drivers and distribute them.

We added Desktop Manager to our standard image - whether or not the users have a BlackBerry.
